We are thrilled to present our MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL UPTOWN SHOWCASE at Montclair State University Kasser Theater! We will present the Showcase in two parts: starting at noon, we will feature student ensembles from the JAZZ HOUSE Summer Workshop. In the evening portion starting at 5:30 pm, we bring out the big guns: Christian McBride & Friends featuring drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts and pianist Cyrus Chestnut. Get there early for the opening act, the Julian Lee Quartet.

Seats in the theater are limited, and we kindly ask everyone to register for FREE tickets. To attend both the daytime and evening events, please register for each separately. We’ll clear out the theater between students and headliners and that’s when you can visit our food trucks, check out the merch and sign up to be a JAZZ HOUSE member!
